Jungkook, a member of the globally popular boy band BTS, has set a remarkable new record with his solo track "Standing Next to You." The song from his solo album "Golden" has reached No. 85 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking its 18th consecutive week on the prestigious chart.
"Standing Next to You" first appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 5 on November 18, 2023, and has since remained on the chart.
Among the male idol's solo releases, "Standing Next to You" surpassed his previous record with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth in "Left and Right" (the song stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 17 weeks).
Additionally, his solo single "Seven feat. Latto" remained on the chart for 15 weeks after its release last July.
Notably, "Standing Next to You" also has the longest charting time on the Hot 100 among Korean solo artists in the past decade.
Furthermore, Jungkook's album "Golden", which includes "Standing Next to You", continues to make waves, securing the No. 90 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This achievement marks the album's 18th consecutive week on the chart, setting a new record for the longest-running album on the chart by a Korean solo artist.
