Justin Timberlake speaks out for first time since arrest

After the Chicago show, Timberlake will have two shows in New York City on June 25 and 26.

Timberlake will perform in several cities in the US before starting his international tour from the end of July. The tour is expected to end before Christmas.

The 43-year-old singer is currently on his Forget Tomorrow international tour. However, his career is facing many difficulties. His sixth album - Everything I Thought It Was - released in March this year did not rank high on the charts. Ticket sales for the Forget Tomorrow international tour have also not been as expected.

Early Tuesday morning, Justin Timberlake was arrested by police for drunk driving in New York. This incident has seriously affected his image in promoting his tour.

According to the New York Post , when arrested by police, the singer said: "This will ruin the tour."

Police said Timberlake had disobeyed a traffic light and was driving in the wrong lane. When giving a statement to authorities, Timberlake admitted that he had been partying before driving home.

When police asked Timberlake to submit to a breathalyzer test, he refused. However, based on the fact that his breath smelled of alcohol, police decided to detain the 43-year-old star. He was released after his lawyer arrived and the singer regained his composure.

A year ago, Timberlake shared in an interview that he had periods of struggling with alcohol addiction.
