After a humiliating 0-3 defeat to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup, Bayern will hope to redeem themselves when they visit Werder Bremen on the opening day of the Bundesliga. New signing Harry Kane, bought from Tottenham for $108 million, started for the first time and immediately showed his importance to Bayern's attack.

In the fourth minute, Kane showed his ability to contribute to the game when he dropped back into the second line to create space for Leroy Sane to take advantage of his speed. The German international made no mistake in the subsequent one-on-one with goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka to put the visitors ahead.
