Kay Tran plays the lead role in a horror film for the first time

In the film, Kay Tran plays the role of Trung, a photographer with a humorous yet warm personality of a young man. He is an indispensable member of the group of three Tu - Trung - Hung, alongside two co-stars Thanh Duy and Karen Nguyen.

Sharing about her new role, Kay Tran said: "This is an opportunity for me to explore completely new aspects of myself. I want to bring a character that is authentic, close but also full of mystery, promising that the role of Trung will be a Kay Tran completely different from what the audience has known before."

According to the revelation, to prepare for her first leading role in a film project, Kay Tran spent a lot of time studying the script, participating in workshops with director Tran Huu Tan and her co-stars to grasp the psychology of her character in a way that is both realistic and profound.

Under the Lake is a supernatural horror film inspired by the urban legend of Death Stone Lake - a place always covered with mysterious stories that young people often tell each other. The film promises to bring the audience into a world that is both familiar and strange, where truth and legend blend together, creating a space full of horror and attraction.

Besides Kay Tran, the film brings together a cast of potential actors such as Thanh Duy, Karen Nguyen, Nguyen Thao, Lam Hoang Oanh, Mac Trung Kien and Nguyen Huu Tien.

The film is expected to be released to audiences from June 6.
