End and transfer of operations of facilities under the Education Trade Union

On the afternoon of June 21, Nghe An Education Trade Union held a conference to announce the end of activities of the Education Trade Union and grassroots Trade Unions in administrative agencies and public service units under its management.

Accordingly, from June 19, 2025, the activities of 75 grassroots trade unions in administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of the State budget salary under the Nghe An Education Trade Union will end.

At the same time, transfer 27 grassroots trade unions of non-public units to the Provincial Federation of Labor.

Previously, Nghe An Education Trade Union directly managed and directed 103 grassroots trade unions with 7,087 people, including 265 managers, 6,004 officials, civil servants, and 396 office staff.

At the conference, generations of Trade Union workers in the Nghe An Education sector looked back at the achievements. Established in 1951, after 75 years of construction and development, the Nghe An Education Sector Trade Union has affirmed its role as a strong representative organization for workers' rights, a force accompanying educational innovation, building a humane, democratic, and modern learning environment, contributing to the comprehensive development of the province's education, worthy of the land of "studious, filial piety, and talent".

Completing the mission, the Education Trade Union team determined that this is an inevitable part of the process of innovation and reorganization to better suit the development situation of the country in the era of national development.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh reviewed the achievements of Nghe An education in recent years. During that journey, Nghe An Education Trade Union has always accompanied the development of the industry, devotedly cared for the material and spiritual life of the teaching staff, cared for disadvantaged students and implemented many emulation movements "Teach well - learn well", bringing many practical results.

In the new context, the head of the education sector believes that the education sector needs to transform and restructure its organizational apparatus. Through this, he also hopes that those working in the trade union will continue to promote their intelligence, courage and, in any position, remain enthusiastic about the cause of educating people.

The immediate task is to focus on innovating teaching methods, promoting learner-centeredness, strengthening local education, organizing 2-session teaching/day and continuing to implement Conclusion 91 of the Politburo on making English a second language, promoting the English learning movement in schools...
