Call for support for FAST Angel first aid team June

FAS Angel (First Aid Support Angel) is a volunteer team founded by technology motorbike taxi drivers since September 2019. With the message " I will not leave when you have an accident because one day when I have an accident, someone will help me ", the " First Aid Support - FAS Angle " team has three main activities: First aid for injuries to traffic accident victims, protecting the scene and property of the victim, coordinating with authorities to search for witnesses as well as information of the victim and family...

Talking about the reason for establishing the First Aid Support Team - FAS Angle, Mr. Pham Quoc Viet shared: “ For a long time, traffic accidents have been a terrible obsession for many people. You may not believe it, but I was once abandoned in a terrible traffic accident that happened many years ago in Tuyen Quang province. Those were unforgettable moments, my whole body was shaking, helpless before the flow of people and vehicles rushing on the road but no one stopped to help. Luckily, finally a passerby decided to stop and take me to the emergency room, which I will always remember and be grateful for .”

In addition, the team also participates in teaching free first aid training skills to students, civil servants... To consolidate knowledge, the FAS Angle team often has meetings to exchange and learn from experiences from organizations specializing in first aid skills such as Survival Skills Vietnam (SSVN) as well as draw experiences from volunteering.

To support FAS Angel in doing its job well, recently, T&T Group and SHB donated an ambulance to the team, increasing the number of ambulances to 3.

However, to operate these 3 vehicles and medical supplies, effectively supporting victims, FAS Angel still needs a lot more resources, and needs the cooperation of society...

Specifically, the total amount of support needed for activities in June 2023 is 57 million VND.

Of which, 19 million VND is used to operate the first aid vehicle, 11 million VND is used to buy regular supplies, 8 million VND is used to buy special supplies (3 pairs of AED shock pads), 6 million VND is used to support operations at duty points and training sharing sessions, 8 million VND is used to support motorbike engine oil for 40 volunteers, etc.

In addition to financial support, FAST Angel also hopes to receive support for warehouse equipment such as: large bags, masks, gloves, blood pressure monitors, headphones, thermometers, breathing balls, wooden splints, bandages, 70-degree alcohol, etc.
