Remembering the "affectionate spirit of Thu Dau Mot"

(BDO) On April 27th, Thu Dau Mot City organized the "Affectionate Land of Thu Dau Mot" program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thu Dau Mot province, the liberation of Southern Vietnam, and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee; former city leaders from various periods; veteran revolutionaries, Heroes of the Armed Forces, and representatives of various religions and ethnic groups, as well as exemplary individuals who have made positive contributions to the city's development over the past years.

The program aims to recall the nation's resilient traditions, express gratitude for the immense contributions of previous generations, and cultivate patriotism and national pride in the younger generation. It is also an opportunity for the Party Committee, government , and people of Thu Dau Mot City to express their profound gratitude to previous generations, honor policy beneficiary families, the armed forces, officials, civil servants, workers, businesses, and exemplary individuals who have made significant contributions to the city's development.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, expressed her gratitude to the many generations of people of Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong who sacrificed their blood and loved ones to fight for independence, freedom, and national reunification, and who have worked together in solidarity and dynamism, contributing to making Thu Dau Mot City a worthy central, civilized, and compassionate urban center throughout the past half-century…

On behalf of the city's leadership, Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc respectfully expressed her gratitude to the leaders and former leaders of the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front of the city for their unwavering unity and cooperation; thanked the generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and workers of the locality for their concerted efforts in successfully completing their assigned tasks; and expressed her gratitude to all strata of the city's people, the business community, ethnic groups, and religions for sharing joys and sorrows, and for their consensus, cooperation, and solidarity in the city's major policies.
