The SE2 train derailment in Ham Thuan Nam district caused 8 other trains to be disrupted . Immediately after the incident, the railway industry mobilized rescue forces to the scene to fix the derailed train car, while repairing the rails and reinforcing both sides of the tracks with gravel.

As reported, in the early morning of the same day, when train SE2 entered the Song Phan-Suoi Van section at Km1572, through Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district (about 5km from Suoi Van station), a train car suddenly derailed . Train SE2 was forced to stop . Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties. Trains running on the North-South route through this area were regulated by the authorities to stop at Binh Thuan station and neighboring stations.
