VTV.vn - On the morning of October 3, 2025, the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened. The Congress identified 5 pillars of growth in the new term.

The first Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, identified five growth pillars: processing and manufacturing industry and renewable energy; tourism, high-tech agriculture ; logistics services; and urban development.

The 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, opened with 450 official delegates attending, representing more than 147,000 party members of 139 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee.

This is an important political event, a special Congress - the first Congress after the merger of the two Party Committees of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai, opening a new development period with higher vision, aspirations and responsibilities.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission for Mass Mobilization attended and directed the Congress.

Attending and directing the Congress were Politburo member, Central Party Secretariat, Head of Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia. Also attending were representatives of leaders of Central departments, ministries, branches, Military Regions, Army Corps, leaders of neighboring provinces in the region, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and Labor Heroes.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committees, ministries and branches, especially General Secretary To Lam, for always paying attention, comprehensively directing, supporting and helping the Party Committee and people of Gia Lai province to overcome difficulties and challenges, and steadily move forward with the country.

Despite the many difficulties and challenges, with the coordination and support of the Central Committees, ministries and branches; the solidarity and efforts of the two Party Committees and people of the two provinces in the past, many important results have been achieved in the fields of: Economy - society, national defense - security, foreign affairs, Party building, and political system building.

This Congress clearly defines the direction, goals, tasks, and breakthrough solutions to help the province develop faster, more comprehensively, and sustainably in the coming period. Specifically, it is determined to work with the highest sense of responsibility, to propose the most correct, breakthrough, and feasible policies. Thereby, turning potentials and advantages into breakthrough driving forces, helping Gia Lai rise strongly, laying a solid foundation to join the whole country in entering a new era, an era of striving for development.

The Congress's theme is: "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system, promoting cultural identity and the strength of national solidarity, maintaining national defense and security, promoting the development of science and technology, mobilizing all resources to build Gia Lai into a fairly developed province of the country".
