Opening of the 23rd Hai Phong - Tien Phong Plastic City Club Championship, Security Cup 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of November 13, at the Maritime University Stadium, the Department of Culture and Sports held the opening ceremony of the 23rd Hai Phong – Tien Phong Plastic City Club Football Championship, Security Cup 2024.

The 23rd Hai Phong - Tien Phong Plastic City Club Championship, Security Special Cup 2024 is jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, the City Police and the Hai Phong Football Federation. There are 10 clubs with 220 athletes participating in the tournament.

*Major Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Head of Hai Phong Security Topic Committee, delivered the opening speech of the Tournament.*

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, Major Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Security Topic Board, emphasized: The City Club Football Championship, Hai Phong Security Topic Board - Tien Phong Plastic Cup, which is annually organized by the Hai Phong Security Topic Board in coordination with other units, is a meaningful sports activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025); 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), contributing to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". At the same time, we request that the athletes participating in the tournament continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, honesty, compete with high determination, and strictly comply with the regulations of the Organizing Committee. The referees focus on running the tournament impartially, objectively, seriously, and in accordance with the law and the tournament's regulations. The units under the City Police responsible for ensuring security and order at the tournament must enhance their sense of responsibility, proactively grasp the situation to ensure absolute safety for the Organizing Committee, athletes of the teams, and fans coming to the stadium to cheer on the teams.
