Opening of VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025

Leaders of Dong Thap province and audience attended the opening night.

VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 is a sports-cultural event organized under the direction of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province and the organizer Nexus Sport Events.

Taking place over 3 days (from October 10 to October 12), the Tournament is not only a professional sports playground, gathering more than 12,000 domestic and foreign athletes, but also a large-scale sports-cultural -music -culinary festival, contributing to making Dong Thap a prominent tourist destination in the Mekong Delta region.

The tournament created an impressive highlight with AIMS international standard running routes, leading athletes through historical and iconic landmarks of Dong Thap: From the modern beauty of Cao Lanh Bridge to the serenity of the tree-lined central street and the riverside countryside.

Every step will be a journey of discovery, experience and deep connection with the culture and people here.

Besides the challenging races, the tournament also brings an explosive VPBank Prime's Night music night with the participation of top artists.

Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan delivered a speech at the opening night.

The culinary area "Dong Thap Flavors" along with a series of workshops, markets, exhibitions and volunteer activities will paint a vivid picture of a friendly, affectionate and vibrant Dong Thap.

Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan said: "This is the first major cultural event held after the merger between Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces.

The race is not only a physical race but also a symbol of solidarity, progress and an important milestone in the new development journey of a land rich in cultural and historical traditions.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong - Director of the Communications and Marketing Center, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) said: "This year's award is more special when it goes hand in hand with the music festival, the Western culinary space, and the traditional craft village exhibition area.

The tournament organizers also pledged to use a portion of the proceeds to support research and conservation activities for red-crowned cranes - a rare bird species and ecological symbol of Dong Thap Muoi.

I believe that this is the way we can spread the message of green living, sustainable living, towards a prosperous future for people and nature in Vietnam."
