Opening of the National Achievements Exhibition: Journey from National Independence to Aspiration for Prosperity

On August 28, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme “80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” officially opened. This is a national-scale political - cultural event, organized for the first time with the participation of ministries, branches, localities, businesses, international friends and diplomatic corps, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

Affirm pride and desire for development

In his opening speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully remembered and expressed his infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great teacher of the Vietnamese Revolution, the national liberation hero, the world cultural celebrity of Vietnam; remembered the great contributions of the elders and predecessors and expressed gratitude to the compatriots and soldiers nationwide and our compatriots abroad through the periods who have contributed and devoted to the great revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

The Prime Minister said that the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is a special highlight, not only honoring the glorious historical journey, but also spreading patriotism, national pride, aspiration to rise up, affirming Vietnam's potential and position on the path of innovation, integration and development.

The exhibition was held on the largest scale ever, with the full participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths across the entire area of ​​the Exhibition Center (inside the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall and the outdoor exhibition area in the four East, West, South and North courtyards).

The exhibition introduces the achievements of nearly 180 industries in various fields (industry, agriculture, trade, investment, culture, science and technology, education, health, environment, traditional craft villages, OCOP products, special products, national defense, security, foreign affairs...) with many documents, materials, artifacts, machinery and equipment, documentaries, reports, vividly and comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements during the "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" of our nation under the leadership of the Party; at the same time, demonstrating the cultural traditions, the spirit of enthusiastic work, and effective production and business of the people and enterprises in all regions of the country. In particular, the exhibition depicts the image of the country and people of Vietnam with thousands of years of heroic history of the nation; the culture imbued with national identity and unity in diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of products in all 3 regions of the country; The development and progress of all ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities over the past 80 years.

The exhibition is scientifically, modernly and professionally designed; the display layout is rich, diverse and comprehensive; the content is authentic, engaging and convincing; the presentation is attractive and impressive through many means, forms and styles, from artifacts, images and documents presented by modern technologies (3D, virtual reality, multimedia audiovisual, artificial intelligence (AI) ...), practical, enjoyable and culturally profound.

Special exhibition spaces

According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Exhibition includes many special thematic areas, showing the horizontal sections of revolutionary history and the vertical sections of core values ​​and great achievements in the heroic history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people. Notable among them are: (1) The central area of ​​the Exhibition with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way", recreating the general important events, brilliant milestones, and successes under the leadership of the Party;

(2) Exhibition space "Vietnam - Country - People" on achievements in cultural and artistic development, honoring the beauty of nature, country and people of Vietnam;

(3) Exhibition space "Economic locomotives" about the achievements of state-owned corporations and groups;

(4) Exhibition space "Start-up and nation building" about the achievements of typical private enterprises;

(5) Exhibition space "Aspiration for the sky" about the field of aerospace;

(6) Exhibition space "Sword and Shield" about the achievements of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and Public Security with modern weapons and technical equipment basically researched, manufactured and improved by Vietnam.

In particular, the Exhibition Center has dedicated an entire building named "Culture lights the way for the nation" to display the unique cultural space and art of our nation through the regions of the country.

"Living School" of History

Looking back at the process of building the Exhibition Center and the preparation and organization of today's Exhibition, the Prime Minister summarized it in 36 words: "Resolute leadership and direction - Speedy and bold construction - Effective public-private partnership - Unique architecture and landscape - Modern technology and management - Large scale and high quality". All of these factors create a comprehensive and unique space, a panoramic picture of the entire process of fighting for national liberation, national reunification, fighting, working, studying and creating of our people under the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Exhibition deeply reflects and is the crystallization of the contributions and dedication of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army throughout the glorious and heroic 80-year history of the Vietnamese Revolution, with the very active, proactive, and creative participation of Party agencies at the Central level, agencies of the National Assembly, all levels, sectors, localities, and representatives of the business community in the organization and implementation process. The Exhibition is also a "living school", with a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, bringing history closer and more accessible, so that today's generations can better understand their origins, the great sacrifices and achievements of previous generations; thereby adding motivation, inspiration, and nurturing the aspiration to bring the country steadily into a new era, an era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the agencies, units, localities and enterprises that have actively and effectively contributed to the completion of the project and the organization of the Exhibition; so that people can better understand the glorious and heroic historical traditions of the nation and enjoy the cultural achievements as a spiritual festival of the country.

"This exhibition is not only about the achievements, but also a vivid demonstration of the great potential of the cultural industry, the entertainment industry and the great creativity of the Vietnamese people in the harmonious and effective combination of political - economic - traditional cultural - historical content with modern and attractive expression, affirming the value of Vietnamese culture, the potential for commercialization of Vietnamese creative products, contributing to promoting the country's rapid and sustainable development", the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and enterprises to continue to carefully prepare and organize well all exhibition activities, art programs, conferences, exchanges, meetings, forums, etc. so that people in the country and international friends can experience, feel, and be proud of the country's achievements and enjoy the results of the National Exhibition Center as a new symbol of the capital and the whole country.

Careful preparation, close coordination, effective organization

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, informed about the preparation and implementation of the Exhibition. Based on the Project to organize the Exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" approved by the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated closely with the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, localities and Vingroup Corporation to mobilize all resources, focusing on organizing the Exhibition with the highest determination and effort.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has presided over the development of the main idea outline of the Exhibition, closely coordinating with international consultants to complete the design of the identity system, applied in the overall exhibition space, ensuring generality, comprehensiveness, depth of thought and artistry, both modern and imbued with Vietnamese cultural elements. The main theme of the Exhibition is: "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", with the main content: affirming the key factor for all successes is the wise leadership of the Party, the effective management and administration of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the business community, of the entire nation in the cause of building and developing the country over the past 80 years. At the same time, honoring the patriotism, the will of self-reliance and self-reliance of our nation; inspiring and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the new period. The exhibition is not only for propaganda and education purposes but also a cultural and experiential space for locals and international visitors.

One of the highlights of this exhibition is the strong application of modern technology, and the introduction of many creative display ideas that appear for the first time in a national exhibition. These are virtual reality technology, augmented reality, interactive touch screens, 3D models and multimedia projection.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that communication, promotion and tourism connection work were also implemented synchronously and in coordination with localities and travel businesses.

The Minister expects the Exhibition to become a cultural highlight, along with a series of large-scale cultural and artistic events held before and during the Exhibition. The 4 concerts held here alone attracted the participation of nearly 120,000 fans, creating a strong ripple effect throughout society.

At the opening ceremony, delegates and visitors enjoyed an art program combining symphonic music, folk and contemporary music, along with modern sound and light effects, vividly recreating the image of the country, people and history of Vietnam.
