Opening of the exhibition and award ceremony of the 30th North Central Region Art Photography Festival in 2024

(NADS) – On the morning of August 25, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists jointly organized the Award Ceremony and opening of the 30th North Central Region Art Photography Festival 2024 in Ha Tinh .

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

Attending the ceremony were Journalist - Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine; Mr. Kohdayar Marri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Vietnam.

On Ha Tinh side, there were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ha Van Hung and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau attending.

Also attending were Executive Committee members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists: Artist Huynh Anh, Head of the Inspection Committee; Artist Xuan Chinh, Deputy Head of the Composition and Exhibition Committee.

With the theme “Land and people of North Central Vietnam – integration and development”, after 3 months of launching (from April 22 to July 22), the Organizing Committee received 849 single photos and 101 photo sets from 140 authors in the North Central region. Through 2 rounds: preliminary round and final round (judged directly and publicly on August 24), the Jury selected 105 most outstanding works to display and award, including 10 photo sets and 95 single photos.

The award-winning works and those participating in the exhibition have recorded many beautiful and precious moments about the development of the land and people of the North Central region, in labor, production, economic development, culture, society, education, health, landscape, nature, in daily life... All exude a genuine, simple, rustic, attractive, highly aesthetic and emotional beauty.

Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Mr. Tran The Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Ha Tinh Province awarded the Gold Medal to author Tu Thanh for the work "Giving is Forever".

Through the exhibited art works, viewers will see the North Central region changing, becoming more and more beautiful, more vibrant, civilized and friendly, humane and full of love.

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded the Medal for the Development of Vietnamese Photography to delegates; presented certificates and medals to the winning authors; and held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open the 30th North Central Region Art Photography Exhibition and Festival. The exhibition will run from today until September 2.

Specifically, the winning works are as follows:

Gold Medal
- Work: Giving is Forever - Author: Tu Thanh (Nghe An)

Silver Medal
- Work: Connecting the happy shore - Author: Dang Thien Chan (Ha Tinh)
- Work: New recruits leave for military service - Author: Tu Thanh (Nghe An)

Bronze
- Work: Application of high technology in agricultural production - Author: Le Quang Dung (Nghe An)
– Work: Olympia Peak Conquest Festival – Author: Le Thanh Sinh (Thanh Hoa)
– Work: The Way Home – Author: Nguyen Van Dao (Nghe An)

Encourage
- Work: About the mountainous region - Warm love of the border - Author: Hoang Manh Cuong (Nghe An)
– Work: Du Tien Festival – Author: Le Tan Thanh (TT-Hue)
