Expelled from the Party comrade Nguyen Thi Hong, former Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee

On September 6, 2024, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat reviewed and disciplined party organizations and party members with violations and shortcomings.

After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission , the Politburo and the Secretariat found that:

1. The Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term violated the principle of democratic centralism and the Working Regulations; lacked responsibility, slackened leadership, direction, and lacked inspection and supervision, allowing the Provincial People's Council Party Delegation, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in a number of investment projects implemented by Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company in Bac Giang province.

2. Violations by some party members in the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee: Comrades Ngo Ngoc Duc, former member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Council of Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Province; Nguyen Thi Hong, former member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Le Duy Minh, City Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very bad effects on the reputation of the Party organization, agency, and working unit.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above-mentioned Party organizations and Party members, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party organizations and Party members, the Politburo decided to impose a disciplinary warning on the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Secretariat decided to impose disciplinary action of expelling from the Party the following comrades: Ngo Ngoc Duc, Nguyen Thi Hong, and Le Duy Minh. It is requested that competent authorities promptly and consistently apply administrative discipline in line with Party discipline.
