Screening for non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, periodic health check-ups for people of Quang Han commune

On August 14-15, 2025, the Center for Disease Control coordinated with the Chongqing Medical Center to organize screening for non-communicable diseases, screening and classifying people suspected of having tuberculosis, and periodic health check-ups in 2025 for nearly 100 people in Quang Han commune.

During the examinations, people had their blood pressure measured, had a quick capillary blood sugar test, were advised on nutrition, exercise to prevent diabetes, a low-salt diet to prevent high blood pressure and stroke; were advised and screened for tuberculosis; had physical examinations, clinical examinations of internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, eyes, ears - nose - throat, teeth - jaw - face, obstetrics and gynecology (for women). In addition, medical staff also provided advice on cancer prevention and mental health care.

Screening for non-communicable diseases, screening and classification of people suspected of having tuberculosis, and periodic health check-ups in 2025 aim to detect early non-communicable diseases and tuberculosis, thereby providing timely treatment, especially chronic diseases and non-communicable diseases right in the community. At the same time, improving the care, protection and health of people in Quang Han commune in particular and in Cao Bang province in general.

According to the plan, the activity will take place over 3 weeks, with an expected screening for 5,277 people in 21 hamlets in Quang Han commune. Specifically: Week 1: From August 14 to 15, health check-ups will be conducted for people in the hamlets: Lung Na; Ngoc Son; Luu Ngoc, Ngoc Chung, Minh Khai; Week 2: From August 18 to 21, health check-ups will be conducted for people in the hamlets: Lung Nam, Lung Xom, Lac Hien, Co To A, Co To B, Co Muoi, Lung Tao, Ban Tam, Vinh Khai, Thin Phong; Week 3: From August 25 to 27, health check-ups will be conducted for people in the hamlets: Vung Ben, Po Man, Pu Do, Na Po, Ban Nieng, Ban Loa.
