Urgent investigation into the cause of the explosion that killed 2 people in Van Phu urban area

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 91/CD-TTg dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the explosion at a house at No. 08 - TT35 Van Phu urban area, Phu La ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi city.

Telegram sent to Minister of Public Security ; Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee.

The incident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on June 17 at house number 08 - TT35, Van Phu urban area, Phu La ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi. The serious explosion killed 2 people.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims.

The Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to visit the victims' families, provide timely encouragement and material and spiritual support, and create the best conditions to help stabilize their lives; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to promptly investigate the cause of the explosion; and strictly handle violations (if any) in accordance with the law.

At the same time, the head of the Government also requested the Hanoi People's Committee to propagate and mobilize people to strictly comply with legal regulations on the management of weapons, explosives, and the management and use of fireworks; proactively take measures to prevent and fight fires and explosions in the area, especially during the current hot weather.
