In response to the complex developments of the floods, on the afternoon of November 21st, the leaders of Khanh Hoa Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited officially refuted all the false information circulating about a reservoir breach.
The company asserts that all reservoirs and dams under its management are operating stably, ensuring technical safety indicators despite facing significant pressure from the surging water inflow.

According to data from the South Central Meteorological and Hydrological Station, due to the combined influence of a strengthening cold front and an easterly wind disturbance, Khanh Hoa province has experienced widespread heavy rainfall. Notably, the rainfall at Hoa Son Lake area reached an extreme level of 360mm this morning. The torrential rain triggered an exceptionally large flood on the Dinh River, with a peak water level of 6.77m. This water level exceeded alarm level 3 by 1.07m and surpassed the historical flood peak of 1986 (6.58m) by 0.19m.
Currently, floodwaters on the river banks are receding very slowly and remain at dangerous levels. Actual monitoring data at 11:00 AM on the same day shows that the hydrological pressure on the reservoir system is very high, as most reservoirs are already full.

Many large reservoirs such as Da Ban, Suoi Dau, and Song Cai have reached very high water storage levels, requiring large-scale flow regulation to ensure structural safety and reduce flooding in downstream areas. Specifically, Da Ban reservoir has reached 103.1% of its design capacity, with an inflow of 190.45 m³/s and a regulated discharge of 182.6 m³/s. Hoa Son reservoir also recorded an inflow of 144 m³/s and is maintaining a discharge of 98.2 m³/s, Song Cai reservoir is discharging at 567 m³/s, while Tien Du reservoir is also full at 107.7% of its design capacity.
The meteorological agency warns that heavy rain will continue throughout the night of November 21st, especially in the northern part of the province, with rainfall exceeding 120mm in some areas, raising the risk of widespread flooding and landslides to disaster risk level 2 to 3.
