Khanh Hoa: Flooded students return to school no later than November 29

According to reports, heavy rains and floods in The past few days have affected 162 educational establishments in Khanh Hoa province, with estimated damage of over 84 billion VND. As of November 24 , 727 schools have resumed normal teaching , while 69 schools have continued to allow students to take time off to clean up and overcome the consequences.

Up to now, 82 educational institutions have submitted reports on textbook supply needs, of which primary schools need 46,689 books, secondary schools need 87,379 books, and high schools need 8,861 books.

Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh , Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Request the Department of Education and Training to urgently review damage to facilities and teaching equipment , propose to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province Allocate funds for repairs, prioritizing classroom repairs to ensure safety for students when they return to school, especially in 4 localities: West Nha Trang Ward , Dien Khanh commune, Dien Dien commune, Dien Lac commune .

People's Committee Khanh Hoa province will support an additional 150,000 VND/student.   belonging to families affected by floods and economic difficulties to buy uniforms. At the same time, it is recommended that local authorities focus their forces on prioritizing cleaning up schools, completing by Thursday this week at the latest and by Saturday this week (November 29 ) bringing students back to school as usual .

Localities urgently review and request funding for purchasing teaching equipment. The Department of Finance urgently advances funding for purchasing equipment for schools on November 26. The Department of Education and Training will soon synthesize funding needs, first of all, investment funding for 2026, to propose, submit to the Department of Finance for synthesis, and report to competent authorities for consideration and allocation to contribute to ensuring the improvement of education quality in the coming time.
