Support Mrs. Tran Thi Lien in Nguyen Trai ward to rebuild the kitchen that collapsed due to the storm

The Women's Union of Nguyen Trai Ward and people in the residential group donated working days to help Ms. Lien rebuild the kitchen.

On November 27, the Women's Union of Nguyen Trai Ward ( Hai Phong City) started rebuilding a kitchen for Ms. Tran Thi Lien, a women's union member and veteran living alone in Vanh Lieng residential group.

Mrs. Tran Thi Lien (64 years old) lives alone, taking care of the house and burning incense for her husband and his stepchildren, martyr Tu Nhu Son. Her health has declined, especially since August 2025 when she had to undergo surgery for a herniated disc and have her vertebrae fixed with pins, forcing her to rely on her sister who lives nearby to help her move around. Her financial situation is difficult, and the cost of medicine is increasing.

During the recent storm No. 11, the small kitchen - the only place she cooks - was completely destroyed by strong winds.

Realizing her situation, the Women's Union of the ward mobilized social resources and benefactors to support the reconstruction. The project received 25 million VND and 5,000 bricks sponsored by Hoang Tien Joint Stock Company.

The new kitchen has been built on the same foundation and area as the old kitchen and is expected to be completed in about a month.

On behalf of Ms. Lien, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Nguyen Trai Ward Nguyen Thi Toan sent her thanks to the "golden hearts" who joined hands with the locality to support and share her difficult circumstances; especially Hoang Tien Joint Stock Company for sponsoring funds and materials to help the project to be implemented soon.

Previously, on October 28, 2025, Hai Phong Newspaper published an article " Lonely veteran wishes to have his small kitchen back ", reflecting Ms. Lien's situation.

After the article was published, many organizations and philanthropists supported the family through the Women's Union of Nguyen Trai Ward. By November 26, more than 30 million VND had been sent to Nguyen Trai Ward to support Ms. Lien in rebuilding the kitchen.
