Review of incentive and support policies for agriculture and forestry

The policies, if approved by the 32nd Session of the Hai Phong City People's Council, will contribute to supporting and encouraging the development of agriculture and forestry.

On the morning of November 27, the Urban Committee of the Hai Phong City People's Council held a conference to review the draft resolution documents submitted by the City People's Committee at the 32nd Session (regular session at the end of 2025) of the 16th City People's Council.

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council.

The conference reviewed the draft resolution on the following contents: Regulations on mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of concentrated agricultural production in the city for the period 2026 - 2030; Regulations on investment levels and investment support in forestry in Hai Phong city.

Accordingly, based on the current production situation and orientation for agricultural and rural development in the city in the period of 2026 - 2030, the Department of Agriculture and Environment drafted a resolution, including a number of policies on the basis of inheritance, with amendments and supplements to suit the new situation related to support for leasing agricultural land for large-scale commodity production; support for building greenhouses for cultivation; support for production according to standards; support for linking production and consumption; support for organizing promotional activities, trade promotion, connecting product supply and demand; support for OCOP products...

Representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported on the draft Resolution on investment and support in forestry in the city.

The development and promulgation of the Resolution regulating the investment level and investment support in forestry in Hai Phong city aims to specify the investment level and investment support in forestry in accordance with the socio -economic conditions of the city, as a basis for allocating the budget to agencies, units, organizations, households and individuals involved in forest protection and development activities to ensure the right subjects and policies. Encourage organizations and individuals to actively participate in forest protection and development; contribute to improving livelihoods and creating income for households and individuals participating in forest protection and development, improving the efficiency of forest protection and development management in the city.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Khac Toan and Head of the Urban Committee of the City People's Council Pham Van Khanh requested the drafting agency to absorb comments and suggestions; continue to edit, supplement and perfect the content of the draft resolutions to submit to the City People's Council for consideration and decision at the upcoming session.
