Khanh Son: Motivation to escape poverty

To realize the goal of bringing Khanh Son district out of the list of poor districts by 2025, from capital sources of national target programs, the locality is focusing on implementing many key projects and works to complete infrastructure, creating momentum to promote comprehensive local socio-economic development.

Many projects are invested

As one of the poor districts in the country, thanks to the investment attention of the Central Government, the province and the efforts of the local government and people, Khanh Son has set a goal to be out of the list of poor districts by 2025. To promote local socio-economic development, in the period of 2021-2025, the district has invested in many works and projects to synchronously develop infrastructure from capital sources of National Target Programs: Socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Sustainable poverty reduction; New rural construction. The total investment of the programs is about 3,000 billion VND.

The inter-commune road from Son Binh to Son Hiep commune is being upgraded and expanded.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan - Chairman of the District People's Committee, in 2023 alone, the district has started many key projects from the capital sources of the Central, the province and the district, especially the capital sources of 3 national target programs, with a total capital deployed in the year of about 500 billion VND. In which, key projects include: District Children's House (total investment of 35 billion VND); To Hap River anti-erosion embankment through Son Lam commune and Thanh Son commune (40 billion VND); Ba Cum Bac and Son Trung commune anti-erosion embankment (40 billion VND); building a road from Tha Mang village, Ba Cum Bac commune to Ta Luong village, To Hap town (25 billion VND); building Son Trung bridge (40 billion VND); upgrading and expanding the inter-commune road from Son Binh to Son Hiep commune (25 billion VND); building a road from To Hap town to Hon Dung village, Son Hiep commune (40 billion VND); building a road from Doc Gao village to Xom Co village, Son Binh commune (40 billion VND); building an inter-commune road from Thanh Son to Son Lam commune (79 billion VND); building Hop Tac bridge in Ba Cum Bac commune (26 billion VND)...

Focus on quality and progress

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan said: “The projects implemented in 2023 are the driving force for comprehensive economic - social - cultural development in the district. In particular, some projects have regional connectivity and develop synchronous, focused and key transport infrastructure, connecting production areas, harmoniously connecting provincial roads, district roads and commune roads, helping to reduce transportation costs, improve efficiency, create favorable conditions for transportation, agricultural production, and at the same time develop specialized agricultural production areas in the area... Therefore, the locality pays great attention to the quality and progress of these projects".

To ensure the quality and progress of the project, the District People's Committee has requested the units that are the investors of each project, especially the leaders, to closely monitor and strictly manage the quality, progress, and investment capital throughout the project implementation process. For construction units, supervision consultants, and design consultants, it is necessary to clearly identify that these are key projects with extremely special significance to the district, so each item must ensure technical and aesthetic standards; mobilize experienced human resources and adequate means to ensure quality, complete and put the project into operation on time as prescribed. The Party Committee and local authorities have widely disseminated to the people the significance of the national target programs being implemented in the district, and the key projects of the programs. Thereby, contributing to creating consensus among the people so that the project implementation is smooth, especially in compensation and site clearance for construction.
