On the morning of September 1, at Hoa Thanh hamlet, Binh Ninh commune (Tam Binh), the Youth Cadet Liaison Committee of Vinh Long province held an inauguration ceremony for the Memorial Monument of the Youth Cadet School of Vinh Long province.
The construction project with a total cost of nearly 200 million VND, on an area of 100m2, includes: a main stele made of granite, 2.2m high, 1.6m wide; a photo gallery and a yard in front of the stele. The source of mobilization is from teachers, former cadets and benefactors.

Vinh Long Province Military Academy was established in January 1973, with 4 squads, 52 soldiers, including 7 officers, teachers and 45 students. After the complete liberation of the South, the school expanded and developed to 1,200 students and a staff of 70 officers, teachers and employees.

Mr. Phan Chi Khinh - Head of the Youth Cadet Liaison Committee of Vinh Long province, expressed his feelings at the ceremony: "To realize the dreams and wishes of teachers and students of the Youth Cadet School of Vinh Long province, about building a Memorial Monument to the Youth Cadet tradition, to preserve forever some memories of a time of youth cadets and emotions of a heroic time, portraits of the "young revolutionary" generation of the historical period of our country. Thereby, educating the young generation today and tomorrow; also to pay tribute to the students of our teachers and comrades who have passed away like you: Nguyen Quoc Kieu, Duong Van Hoa, Pham Van Hon... you sacrificed when you were very young, put down your pens and went to the border and you will never return".
