Chairman of Tran Phu Ward People's Committee Nghiem Xuan Hung said that the Tran Phu Ward Heroes and Martyrs Memorial was first built around 1995, located in the premises of the Ward People's Committee headquarters. In 2006, to meet the requirements of state administrative management, the project was relocated to its current location. After a long period of use, along with the impact of weather and natural conditions, the memorial has degraded, no longer ensuring the inherent architecture, landscape and solemnity. In response to the legitimate aspirations of the people and the high consensus of the local Party Committee and government, the Tran Phu Ward People's Committee has proposed a policy to rebuild the Memorial on a scale commensurate with its stature.

The project "Renovation and construction of the Tran Phu Ward Martyrs Memorial" is built on an area of ​​1,680m², with a total investment of 6.5 billion VND from socialized capital sponsored by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, and was started on December 26, 2024. Implementation time: 115 days. The project is implemented to ensure technical requirements, quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai District People's Committee Vo Xuan Trong said: With a spacious scale, modern and harmonious architecture, suitable for urban space and spiritual culture, the Memorial is a place to engrave the names and contributions of 151 heroic martyrs - the excellent sons of Tran Phu's homeland who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, protecting the Fatherland and performing noble international duties.

On behalf of the leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Hoang Mai District, he expressed his deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs - those who devoted their lives to the independence and freedom of the nation, and thanked the businesses that accompanied the locality throughout the process of building this meaningful project.

At the same time, continue to promote the movement of "Repaying gratitude", taking better care of families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the entire political system and the community.
