On February 19, two kindergartens in Trinh Tuong commune, Bat Xat district ( Lao Cai ) were officially inaugurated after renovation and upgrading. The project was implemented with the support of the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and a business, to help overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi).
With a total budget of more than 300 million VND, the project coordinated with Lao Cai province to restore Na Lac kindergarten and Tan Tien school of Trinh Tuong Primary and Kindergarten.
At Na Lac Kindergarten, many items were seriously degraded after the storm, such as collapsed ceilings, damaged roofs and prolonged leaks. The project built a new toilet to ensure safe living conditions, and renovated the roof to increase weather resistance. The old toilet was also repaired and repainted, creating a more spacious and clean space for the nearly 90 students studying here.

Lao Cai was one of the localities most severely affected by storm No. 3, with extensive damage to infrastructure. In Bat Xat district alone, 33 schools were damaged or affected by landslides.
According to the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam, the renovation of the two schools in Trinh Tuong not only solves immediate difficulties but is also an important step in the journey to support education in mountainous areas. This is one of Israel's long-term commitments to accompany Vietnam, especially in the field of education and upgrading local infrastructure.
