Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said that the construction of the "For a peaceful life" CAND Monument aims to show gratitude and honor the glorious achievements of generations of officers, soldiers, and the People's Public Security force.

This is also a cultural project with political , historical and cultural significance and will be a place to organize propaganda activities and traditional education for generations of cadres, soldiers and people to further strengthen the close relationship between the People's Public Security Forces and the people. Thereby, further consolidating the trust of the people and the Party Committees and authorities at all levels with the People's Public Security Forces, closely coordinating and providing more support for the People's Public Security Forces to successfully complete the political tasks entrusted by the Party, the State and the people.

The People's Police Monument "For a Peaceful Life" was built in the Au Lac Park (adjacent to the intersection of Cong Hoa and Tran Phu streets, District 5). The monument has a distinct shape, the statue cluster is 4.1m high, the pedestal is 2.97m high, including 7 characters: the image of a Vietnamese mother, a child and 5 police officers. The monument area includes the statue, pedestal, trees, lawns, flower beds, playground, lighting system, general landscape; the items are arranged harmoniously, with color correlation.
