Inauguration and receiving the certificate of the monument of the heroic martyr Phan Dinh Giot

On the morning of March 13, Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Cam Xuyen District People's Committee to organize the inauguration ceremony and receive the certificate of ranking as a provincial historical relic of the Memorial House of Heroic Martyr Phan Dinh Giot, towards the 71st anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025).

The memorial house was built on the foundation of his old house in Vinh Phu village, Cam Quan commune (Cam Xuyen), where he was born and raised. The project started in February 2024 with a total cost of about 25 billion VND, mobilized from socialized sources by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in coordination with Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union and Cam Xuyen District People's Committee.

On March 4, 2025, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued Decision No. 474/QD-UBND on ranking the Phan Dinh Giot Memorial House as a provincial historical relic. This recognition not only honors the heroic sacrifice of the hero but also makes an important contribution to the work of preserving and promoting the value of heritage, educating revolutionary traditions for the young generation and local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Cam Xuyen District Party Secretary Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, businesses, organizations and individuals who contributed resources to the construction of the project. Immediately after the ceremony, the Memorial House was handed over to the Party Committee and authorities of Cam Quan commune for management in accordance with regulations.

Immediately after the ceremony, the organizing committee conducted the ceremony of bringing the provincial historical relic ranking certificate into the main hall and cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

Hero Phan Dinh Giot (1922 - 1954), an outstanding son of Ha Tinh, has gone down in history with his brave actions in the battle of Him Lam stronghold that opened the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Despite being wounded many times, he still fought steadfastly and threw himself into the battle to fill the loopholes, contributing to the resounding victory. His sacrifice has become an immortal symbol of revolutionary heroism. The inauguration of the Memorial House and the recognition of this project as a provincial historical relic is not only a tribute to Heroic Martyr Phan Dinh Giot but also contributes to preserving and spreading the spirit of patriotism and the indomitable will of the nation.
