Inauguration and installation of a signboard to welcome the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term

- On September 20, 2025, at Chi Lang commune, the People's Committee of Lang Son province held an inauguration ceremony and installed a signboard to open a new inter-commune road from Chi Lang town to Y Tich commune (now Chi Lang commune and Van Linh commune), welcoming the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the ceremony were provincial leaders: Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee including: Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Nguyen Hoang Tung, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front; Dinh Huu Hoc, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of Party building committees, departments, branches, People's Committees of Chi Lang and Van Linh communes and people in the project area.

The project opens a new inter-commune road from Chi Lang town to Y Tich commune, with a length of more than 7.8 km, starting at km 0 (intersection with National Highway 1A at km 63+500 (Chi Lang commune) and ending at km 7+833 (intersection with District Road 88 - DH.88 at Km13+100m). According to the design, the roadbed is 5 m wide, the road surface is hardened with concrete and asphalt is 3.5 m wide; the project has a total investment of more than 164 billion VND, the project implementation period is 2021 - 2025.

Up to now, the project has completed all items, in which the contractors have opened a new road on rocky terrain with a length of more than 5.5 km and more than 2.3 km of construction on dirt road. The completed project put into operation creates convenient traffic connection between Chi Lang commune and Van Linh commune, connecting with district road 88 connecting with national highway 279, in order to improve the capacity of goods transportation, promote the development of production of specialty rocky mountain custard apples and other crops in Chi Lang and Van Linh communes. At the same time, the inter-commune road also contributes to ensuring security and national defense; expanding development space, shortening the distance from the center of Van Linh commune, remote and extremely difficult villages in Bang Mac commune to national highway 1A by tens of kilometers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The State is interested in investing in the road to realize the aspirations of the people in the region, contributing to promoting production development, especially the local specialty products associated with ensuring national security and defense.

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the project to effectively serve the local socio -economic development, he requested the investor to review and complete the defective locations, and strictly carry out warranty and maintenance work after acceptance. At the same time, carry out payment, settlement, and disbursement of project investment capital according to regulations. The People's Committees of Chi Lang and Van Linh communes mobilize people whose roads pass through to participate in protecting the roads, not leaving materials on the roadbed, causing loss of aesthetics and traffic safety, to promote the effectiveness of the project.
