TPO - The authorities of Ba Dinh district ( Hanoi ) have just successfully captured a monkey that "strayed" into the office of a state agency right in the middle of Hanoi.
On the evening of June 1, a representative of the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District (Hanoi) said that after a period of monitoring and understanding the monkey's living conditions, the authorities successfully captured it in the afternoon of the same day and handed it over to the Wildlife Rescue Center.
Previously, a monkey "unexpectedly wandered" into the office of some units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (No. 2, Ngoc Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi). People also saw this monkey running around the Ngoc Ha communal house area, taking food and teasing people.
Information about this monkey has been spreading on social networks in recent days, attracting the attention of many people.

This monkey was quite bold, entering the office, climbing on the table and playing with things very naturally. When outside, this monkey ran around, took food... and even teased the people around.

This is not the first time monkeys have appeared and harassed people in Hanoi. Around November 2020, a video of a monkey suddenly appearing in a parking lot in alley 76 Duy Tan Street (Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District) went viral on social media, causing chaos, urinating on cars parked in the lot, and even attacking people, causing many people to panic.
Immediately afterwards, the People's Committee of Dich Vong Hau Ward invited staff from the Hanoi Zoo to capture the monkey. However, the monkey was quite cunning and did not fall into the trap. On November 26, 2020, the unit sent people to monitor the monkey and used a method of blowing a tube with an anesthetic needle into the monkey but was unsuccessful. It was not until the afternoon of December 9, 2022 that the authorities successfully captured the monkey.
