According to the reporter's investigation, in the period of 2013 - 2019, VGC Vietnam Ginseng Joint Stock Company cooperated with the Korean Ginseng Association to research and identify ecological zones in Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province at an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level, applying high technology to successfully cultivate and care for Vietnamese ginseng, opening a breakthrough direction in developing raw material areas associated with the preparation of "national treasure" medicinal products of traditional medicine. In particular, in August 2019, at the International Conference in Da Lat - Lam Dong, domestic and foreign scientists recognized that Vietnamese ginseng products grown and harvested at an altitude of 1,400 m in Lac Duong, Lam Dong have a fairly high content of medicinal saponin, which has the effect of enhancing immunity, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, reducing stress, and improving overall health. At the workshop, the representative of VGC Vietnamese Ginseng Joint Stock Company - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc also announced the success rate of planting Vietnamese ginseng seeds here is about 80%.
By June 2025, with incomplete data, VGC had expanded the Vietnamese ginseng growing area at an altitude of 1,400 m in Lac Duong, Lam Dong, with about 5 hectares of outdoor area covered with black nets.
