Production of over 649 million fish fry and fingerlings

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in August, the whole province produced about 5 million fish fry and 2.3 million fish fry; the harvested aquatic product output reached 1,930 tons. In the first 8 months of 2025, the whole province produced 593 million fish fry and 56.4 million fish fry; the harvested aquatic product output reached 13,630 tons, equal to 59.3% of the yearly plan.

The total seafood harvest in the province in August 2025 is estimated at 1,930 tons.

Aquaculture production in the province remains stable, ensuring a quality source of breeding stock while making a significant contribution to the growth of the Agriculture and Environment sector.

To achieve the 2025 targets, in the coming period, the Agriculture and Environment sector and localities will continue to focus on guiding farmers to apply advanced techniques, manage the quality of breeding stock well, and proactively prevent and control diseases.

In addition, fish breeding facilities are encouraged to expand their scale, invest in infrastructure, and develop a diverse range of economically valuable fish species.

With a focus on sustainable development, Thai Nguyen's fisheries sector is expected to continue to leverage its potential, making a positive contribution to increasing farmers' income and boosting the province's agricultural economy.
