Accordingly, the My An - Cao Lanh Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 has a route length of about 26.6km. In Phase 1, the project is invested in a 4-lane scale, with the starting point connecting with route N2 in Doc Binh Kieu commune, the end point connecting at An Binh intersection (head of Cao Lanh bridge), in My Tra ward, Dong Thap province. The expressway section has a longitudinal section and geometric elements suitable for expressway standards with a design speed of 100km/h; the cross-section of the completed phase has a scale of 6 lanes with a surface width equivalent to 32.25m/30.75m; the cross-section of phase 1 is invested in a 4-lane scale with a width of 17m/16m.
Regarding the bridge, the scale of the bridge project is suitable for the scale of the roadbed, the design load is HL-93 according to TCVN 11823:2017. The service road and the return road have a minimum scale of type B rural road according to TCVN 13080:2014 and are suitable for the scale of the existing road.
The project has a total contract implementation period of 36 months, of which the section from the intersection with Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway (Km22+829) to An Binh intersection (Km26+560) will have a construction period of 24 months. To date, the locality has handed over 95% of the site for the project. The total investment of the project is about 6,128 billion VND, using ODA loans from the Korean Government through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and counterpart capital from the Vietnamese Government, with My Thuan Project Management Board as the investor.
