Previously, Ta Phin commune's agriculture was mainly self-sufficient, with traditional crops such as rice, corn... The farming method was backward, completely dependent on natural conditions, productivity was uncertain, and people's income was unstable.

But now, every day, the specialized truck of Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh ( Hanoi city) travels over 300 km of mountain passes and slopes to reach Ta Phin commune. His truck not only carries goods, but is also a vivid demonstration of the change in thinking and production methods of Ta Phin people.

Traders from all over the provinces come to buy agricultural products from Ta Phin people.

Mr. Tinh said: Every day I have a trip to buy about 12 tons of vegetables, tubers, and fruits from Ta Phin people. Consumers in Hanoi highly appreciate vegetables, tubers, and fruits grown in Ta Phin commune. They not only praise the good quality, but also trust in the safety, not using pesticides.

It can be affirmed that the cool climate all year round, special soil and organic farming methods have created agricultural products of outstanding quality. The trust from the consumer market is the core factor, creating a solid position for Ta Phin commune's agricultural products, while ensuring stable output for farmers.

Not stopping at vegetables, tubers and fruits, Ta Phin people have also boldly changed the crop structure, focusing on products with higher economic value. A typical example is Mr. Le Lenh Thuan in Xa Xeng village - a pioneer in developing high-tech ornamental plants. Mr. Thuan's garden specializes in providing: Tran Mong orchids, Sa Pa double-flowered peaches, mai flowers... Taking care of these ornamental plants requires higher techniques, in-depth knowledge of soil, fertilizers, pest control and especially meticulousness and patience. However, Mr. Thuan affirmed: Although it requires a lot of effort and techniques, ornamental plants bring in 3 - 4 times more income than growing rice and corn.

Mr. Thuan has a high income from growing orchids, peach blossoms, mai flowers...

This year, Mr. Thuan plans to sell about 300 pots of Tran Mong orchids, 500 peach trees, and 1,000 Nhat Chi Mai flowers; after deducting all expenses, he will earn about 1 billion VND. Mr. Thuan's story shows a strong change in the thinking of the people of Ta Phin commune. They no longer accept the uncertainty of traditional agriculture; instead, they dare to think, dare to do, and apply science and technology to create high-value products to meet the needs of the high-end market segment. Mr. Thuan's success has spread, becoming a driving force for many other households to learn and boldly transform, contributing to diversifying the local economy.

This initial success is due to the proper direction and support from the local government. Mr. Vu Xuan Quy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ta Phin Commune, shared: Ta Phin Commune has great potential for agricultural development. In recent times, the People's Committee of the Commune has focused on orienting and directing people to apply high technology in agricultural production. The locality has planned and formed a specialized agricultural production area of 86 hectares. This is a strategic step, creating conditions for households to produce agriculture according to standard processes, making it easier to manage quality, apply science and technology and build a common brand for the whole commune.

The climate and soil conditions in Ta Phin commune are favorable for growing vegetables, tubers and fruits.

Thanks to the consensus between the government and the people, some ornamental plants, vegetables, tubers and fruits of Ta Phin commune not only meet local demand but also have a firm foothold in major markets such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen... contributing to increasing the production value per hectare of cultivated land. That is vivid proof that the development of high-tech agriculture is not just a slogan, but has brought about clear economic efficiency.

Looking to the future, Mr. Quy added: In the coming time, we will continue to focus on directing and orienting people to produce in the direction of organic agriculture, associated with eco-tourism and community tourism; striving for the value of agricultural cultivation to reach 140 million VND/ha.

This is a goal that demonstrates the determination of the political system and the people of Ta Phin. 140 million VND/ha is an economic index - and a measure of the change in quality of life, prosperity and sustainability of the community.
