In the past two days, foreign investors have invested in steel, banking, and financial services stocks - which have been under strong selling pressure in the past.
Foreign investors poured money back into the VN-Index session, which was quite positive. In the morning, the index chart representing the HoSE moved sideways around 1,122-1,125 points when the market was less active. The VN-Index was pulled down below the reference point at times, but the decrease was not deep. For most of the remaining time, the index remained green.
In the afternoon, strong demand appeared, helping VN-Index improve its score. After 2 p.m., the market tested the 1,130-point mark but failed. At the end of the session, the index increased by nearly 7 points to about 1,129 points.
Market breadth was green with more than 53% of stocks increasing in price. The most positive contributor was VHM when this stock increased by 4.3% with liquidity of more than VND 560 billion. Following were the codes VIC, SSB, VPB, TCB...
Real estate led the market as stocks with high liquidity such as DIG, PDR, DXG, VIC, VRE, IDC all increased, although at an uneven rate. This industry had SIP and ITC reaching the ceiling price with tens of billions of VND in transactions.
The banking group also had positive developments when green was the main color on the board. TCB and VIB both accumulated more than 2% compared to the reference. ACB and VPB both increased by more than 1%.
Because the market was only active in the afternoon, liquidity today decreased by more than 3,800 billion to about 15,500 billion VND on the HoSE. Investors mainly traded real estate, financial services and banking stocks.
