At the airport, passengers were welcomed by art performances imbued with Vietnamese and Japanese cultural identities. The first three passengers were presented with flowers, souvenirs and round-trip airfare vouchers from Japan to Vietnam. All passengers received Danang FantastiCity gift bags and local travel incentives.

The Osaka – Da Nang route is currently operated with a frequency of 4 flights/week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Together with the Narita – Da Nang route (7 flights/week), the total flight frequency between Da Nang and Japan reaches 11 flights/week.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the resumption of direct flights from Japan not only facilitates tourism exchanges but also contributes to strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between Da Nang - Central Vietnam and major cities of Japan.

In recent times, Da Nang has stepped up promotion in the Japanese market, through tourism introduction programs in Tokyo and Osaka; participating in the Tourism Expo Japan Fair and welcoming many Japanese tour groups, press, and KOLs to experience the reality.
Mr. Mori Takero, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, assessed that the resumption of flights is a positive sign, opening up opportunities to increase the number of tourists in both directions. In particular, since July 1, after Da Nang and Quang Nam officially merged, this “new” locality has many more outstanding destinations such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary, green tourism and community tourism.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 108,000 Japanese visitors, accounting for 4.16% of total international visitors, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024.
