International Marathon Kicks Off in Vinh Phuc

The People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, in coordination with Vietnam Television (VTV) and sponsors, organized the VTV LPBank International Marathon 2025.

On the afternoon of June 23, the announcement ceremony of the VTV LPBank International Marathon 2025 took place in Vinh Phuc. The event aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 55th day of broadcasting the first program of Vietnam Television (VTV).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Steering Committee of the race - said: "This is the second year the tournament has been organized. The successes of last year's race in Cat Ba are the basis for us to continue organizing and believe that this year's race will leave a good impression."

Following the success of the first season in 2024, the 2025 International Marathon will officially take place on August 16 at Dai Lai Lake, Vinh Phuc Province. The race is expected to attract thousands of professional and amateur athletes from both Vietnam and abroad, competing in 3 distances: 6.8km, 10km and 21km.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Cao Giang, representative of the race organizing committee, said that in the category for professional athletes, Do Quoc Luat, Sam Van Doi, and Nguyen Thi Thu Ha are members of the elite group competing. The race organizing committee also said that up to this point, many athletes from 6 countries, including Europe, have registered to participate.

Do Quoc Luat is a member of the Vietnamese athletics team, who won the SEA Games in the men's 3,000m steeplechase.

With the theme "Rhythm Through Time", the organizers hope to spread the spirit of enduring sports , while paying tribute to the legacies of the past and inspiring a dynamic future, continuing the mission of connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts.

The 2025 International Marathon has a unique running route winding along Dai Lai Lake, blending contemporary architectural works and lush natural landscapes, promising to bring athletes a classy and inspiring experience.
