The guest of À La Tết is Sakal Phoeung. He is a French chef of Cambodian origin. Sakal and his sister left Cambodia for France at the age of 8 after their parents passed away. In 2012, he moved to Vietnam and started his career as a chef.
With about 30 years of experience in the profession, Sakal has reaped the sweet fruits of his passion for cooking. He is currently the chairman of Escoffier Vietnam and co-founder of two French-style restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, P'ti Saigon and Le Corto.
Those who love high-end French cuisine must know the reputation of this talented chef. He is also famous in Ho Chi Minh City for providing private catering services at home.
Party booking services are no longer strange to Vietnamese people, but high-end party catering with private chefs is not really popular, partly because of the high cost. Sakal shared that guests who book private parties at home do not hesitate to spend money to enjoy the best services from the splendid space to the high-class food, with chefs and waiters no different from those in restaurants.
Unlike a professional restaurant kitchen, serving at home with high standards requires the chef to have experience not only in cooking but also in arranging and organizing. In response to customer requests, the chef has no choice but to adapt and improvise so that the customer's meal goes smoothly and comfortably.
Those are the differences with regular party booking service.
