Production value from farm economy reaches 1,600 billion VND

Currently, in the rural areas of Thai Nguyen province, there are 695 farms, including 11 crop farms, 681 livestock farms, 2 aquaculture farms and 1 mixed farm. Accordingly, the number of livestock farms accounts for a large proportion with 98% of the total number of farms, mainly small and medium-sized farms. Notably, the whole province has over 150 livestock farms certified for safe production according to VietGAP standards.

The average production value of a farm in rural areas of Thai Nguyen province reaches 2.2 billion VND/year.

Through review, currently, on average, each farm has 2-3 regular workers, mainly family members, to take advantage of human resources, create jobs, and reduce labor costs.

Developing farm economy not only creates jobs but also brings a large source of income for people. According to information from the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development of Thai Nguyen, the total production value of farms in the province reaches over 1,600 billion VND. The average production value of a farm reaches 2.2 billion VND/year.
