Of which, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh's family (in Tan Nghia commune, Di Linh district) was supported with more than 236 million VND and Le Hai Bang's family (in group 27, Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong) was supported with more than 790 million VND.
To help these two families, the Lam Dong Association for the Support of Poor Patients - Disabled People and Orphans conducted a field survey and widely disseminated specific information to the Association's branches, members, and kind-hearted people. The story of these two difficult family circumstances has touched many hearts of gold, who joined hands to contribute an amount of funding beyond expectations.
The family of Le Hai Bang (in group 27, Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong) received support of more than 790 million VND. |
The family situation of Le Hai Bang (13 years old, student of class 7A5 at Le Hong Phong School, Duc Trong District) is that her mother works for hire to support her three siblings, and her father left home. Among them, the two twin brothers are 7 years old and have hyperactivity due to pervasive developmental disorder and speech delay, autism; and Hai Bang has thyroid cancer and the doctor has prescribed surgery and radiation therapy, but the family does not have the funds for the surgery. To maintain the life of a family with 3 sick children, the mother, Ms. Le Thi Tinh (39 years old), has to focus on taking care of her children alone, and at night she goes to the night market in Lien Nghia town to help sell vegetables to earn a little money. With no place to live, the mother and her four children have to temporarily stay in the temporary house of their sister; it is called a house but it is only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, everything is patched up and temporary.
The family situation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh (in Tan Nghia, Di Linh) is also very difficult. Ms. Anh is like a hard-working stork, her husband died of cancer, she has to struggle to raise 4 children in the midst of persistent poverty. She cannot do heavy work because both hands and both feet are ulcerated due to atopic dermatitis, the only job that can earn a little money is to look after the neighbors' houses; the job is available sometimes, not sometimes, not promising anything for a life that is already too difficult. Feeling sorry for her mother, the eldest son, Nguyen Dinh Dat, quit school to work at a coffee shop, earning money to support his mother and 3 younger siblings, but the daily wage is also meager. The place called a temporary home of Ms. Anh's family will soon be taken back by the Tea Farm, and the small house that her husband's family temporarily let her stay in will also no longer exist.
The story of these two difficult family situations has moved many kind-hearted people to join hands to help. |
Mr. Nguyen Van Luc - Chairman of the Association for the Support of Poor Patients - Disabled People and Orphans of Lam Dong said: “We have visited, learned about and witnessed the extremely difficult circumstances of these two families. The Association and philanthropists have tried to spread information, calling for support so that the two families have little capital to do business; have money for medical treatment and so that the children do not drop out of school because of poverty. Thanks to this source of funding, Le Hai Bang will have surgery for a thyroid tumor, the two families will have savings books so that the children can go to school and we believe that the lives of the two families will be better”.
