On the afternoon of November 20, due to the prolonged heavy rain and landslides occurring on some mountain passes connecting to the Da Lat area, rumors appeared on social networks that gasoline trucks would not be able to enter Da Lat in the coming days, leading to concerns about supply shortages and causing some people to rush to buy gasoline to stock up. However, authorities confirmed that this information was completely inaccurate.

This afternoon (November 20), the Department of Construction announced an adjustment to the ban on vehicles over 3.5 tons from traveling through Ta Nung Pass. Accordingly, based on the current situation, the Department of Construction recommends that people and vehicles traveling through the Ta Nung Pass (section from Km0+00 to Km8+000, DT.725) proactively travel during the day when weather conditions are favorable. Limit travel through the route when there is heavy rain, at night, and visibility is limited, except in special cases.
For trucks with a load capacity of 3.5 tons or more, passenger cars with 30 seats or more are restricted from traveling on the above route at night and during heavy rain; at the same time, while traveling, pay attention to observe the current status of the route to promptly handle any incidents that may occur.
This regulation means that large trucks, including oil tankers, are still allowed to travel normally through Ta Nung Pass in favorable weather conditions and during the day. Therefore, the supply of oil for Da Lat is still guaranteed, and there will not be a situation of "stopping oil imports" as false rumors.
Authorities urge people to stay calm and not listen to unverified information to avoid panic and unnecessary buying. At the same time, people need to follow official recommendations from state management agencies to grasp the situation correctly and ensure safety when traveling in stormy weather conditions.
