" In football, it's not always the person who spends the most money who wins. You need ability and experience ," Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Morata said ahead of the Champions League final.
However, Mr. Morata appreciated the success that Man City achieved. He added: " That is the credit for Pep Guardiola. He is the best coach in the world . But Inter will try until the last minute ."

Inter Milan reached the final of the Champions League for the first time in 13 years. However, the journey to the final match of the season was quite smooth. In the knockout round, Inter Milan fell into a group with not-so-strong opponents such as Porto, Benfica and AC Milan. Meanwhile, Man City defeated championship candidates such as Chelsea and Real Madrid.
" There is definitely a gap between Serie A and the Premier League, between Inter and Man City. We know they are favourites but we will cause them problems, disappoint them. We have to be motivated. I am proud that the team has reached this stage. It is a reward for our efforts throughout the season ," said Morata.
Besides Inter Milan, Serie A also had two other representatives in the Europa League and Conference League finals. Although Roma and Fiorentina both lost, it was still a good sign for Italian football.
" Italian football has been recovering recently. We have a representative in the European Cup finals. It is a good advertisement for us. We have become better. There is still a gap with the Premier League but we will look for our own talents, starting from the youth system ," said Mr. Morata.
The European Cup final between Man City and Inter Milan will take place at 02:00 (Vietnam time), June 11. Atatürk Olympic Stadium (Istanbul, Türkiye) will host the final.
