For planted forest areas, the Forest Rangers of Le Thuy District, Quang Ninh Province, and Dong Hoi City have instructed forest owners, organizations, and individuals to promptly carry out the work of treating the ground cover and cleaning the forest when the weather is favorable, ensuring compliance with the requirements of PCCCR. If the weather is hot and sunny with a high risk of forest fires, the unit will request to stop, not treat the ground cover but switch to strengthening the management of heat sources and fire sources in the forest and along the forest edges, absolutely not allowing forest cleaning and ground cover treatment to cause forest fires.

“We are always ready with human resources, means and coordinate with other functional forces to deploy guarding, patrolling, controlling and protecting forests at the root, especially forests near residential areas and areas with high potential fire risk. Along with that, the Forest Ranger force also regularly propagates forest fire warnings; coordinates with localities, signs commitments in schools and villages near forests to raise awareness of forest fire prevention and control for the community right from the root to minimize the risk of forest fires that may occur,” added Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Director of the Quang Binh Forest Ranger Sub-Department.
