Attending the event were former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi and officials, leaders of agencies and people in Binh Duong province.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the central monument is 46m high; the monument and relief are entirely covered in bronze, creating a symbolic highlight for the overall project.
The space of the central monument has an architecture that is in harmony with the landscape, along with the green tree system of the area and the memorial area.
Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Tri said that War Zone D is one of the important revolutionary bases in the Southeast region, marking the glorious feats and heroic sacrifices of many generations of cadres, soldiers and people in the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The completion of this meaningful project by the authorities aims to honor historical relics and revolutionary traditions. The project will be a place for future generations to learn about the land and people of War Zone D, while also creating a new momentum for Binh Duong tourism in the new era.
