The organizing committee of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival announced the list of 25 students selected to participate in the Talent Nurturing Advanced Acting Class. Among them, Bui Le Doan Trinh (Khanh Trinh) is a notable candidate who has participated in many film projects such as The Ghost House, The Love Is More Important, The Silver Waves... In addition, she is also known as the daughter of artist Hoang Map.

Talking to us, Hoang Map shared that at first, when he decided to join the Talent Nurturing course, he himself was a bit surprised. “My daughter told me that at the previous film festival season, some actors who had acted in my films also participated. So I called to ask and everyone shared that this was a useful class. That made me feel secure and supported my daughter to continue to improve in her career,” he said.

From his own experience in the profession, Hoang Map believes that studying will help his daughter gain more experience, which can be applied to acting. When he sees Khanh Trinh's spirit of learning, the male artist feels happy because "studying not only helps horizontally but also vertically. I just let my daughter rub and perfect herself more".
“I went to school to set an example for my two children, so when I saw my children passionate about improving their knowledge, I fully supported them. Before, my children thought that after graduating, they would only focus on working. But now they have decided to study for a second degree, then go on to study for a master's degree. They told me not to share this because they were not confident in taking the entrance exam, but I decided to share it to give them more motivation,” said Hoang Map.
Hoang Map assessed that after a long time working in the arts, his daughter has clearly changed, especially in her voice and appearance. “Previously, Trinh's voice was quite bad, some words were still slurred and there were regional problems. After many film projects and receiving feedback, she learned to speak more slowly. I am willing to give her advice to change, or when Khanh Trinh does well, I also share it so she can develop. As a producer, I have to look at the weaknesses and strengths of an actor to give advice or praise, but if I only look at the limitations, they will feel inferior and lack confidence to work,” Hoang Map said.

When asked about the possibility of his daughter acting in a film for another director, Hoang Map said that it would be a good thing, even if Khanh Trinh did not have time to participate in projects produced by her family. According to him, that is a milestone for her daughter to step out of her “home turf” to explore new things, meet and have experiences from new directors. “That requires her to learn how to live, how to communicate to improve every day. If my daughter has the opportunity, that is what I really want,” he shared.
Hoang Map said that recently, many film companies have texted Khanh Trinh to invite her to participate in projects. “Each time I go to a casting, it will give me the opportunity, the experience, and help the directors understand who I am, what genre of film I am good at... Many people say that Khanh Trinh only acts in family films as the main character, so when she goes out, producers don't invite her to small roles. I think you guys should just share frankly, money is not important, Khanh Trinh is like other young people,” Hoang Map added.
