Attending the seminar were leaders from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, representatives from the Vietnam Television Center for the Central and Central Highlands regions, and local media agencies.
Comrade Le Huy Toan, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, led the Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television delegation to the seminar.
The seminar program aims to practically commemorate the 101st anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026), while also creating a forum to exchange experiences, propose solutions, and set directions for the future development of journalism.

In his welcoming remarks, Comrade Vo Hoan Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Khanh Hoa Province, emphasized the role of local media. Accordingly, the press not only performs the function of information and propaganda but also inspires a desire for contribution and a spirit of innovation; accompanying the Party Committee, government, and people in achieving development goals.
The merger of media organizations is a comprehensive restructuring process encompassing management thinking, operating methods, content production processes, and journalistic development strategies in the digital media era.

The seminar is an important opportunity for local media agencies to exchange and share practical experiences; identify difficulties and obstacles in order to have a direction for development in the future.
Along with the reorganization of administrative units at all levels, local press agencies were merged or newly established following the model of newspapers, radio, and television. In practice, over the past period, local press agencies have gradually stabilized their organizational structure; effectively utilizing shared technical infrastructure, human resources, and content production processes.

However, despite the initial achievements, the operation of the new model still faces considerable pressure regarding the shortage of high-quality human resources; the increasingly rapid demands for digital transformation; fierce competition from social media and cross-border platforms; the need to innovate content and methods of communication to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the public; and the challenges of financial mechanisms and the development of the press economy in the new context. These issues were the focus of discussion, sharing, and proposed solutions by leaders of local press agencies at the forum.

In the current context, many local media outlets have proactively innovated their methods, developed digital platforms, improved the quality of multimedia journalistic products, and gradually adapted to the demands of modern communication.
According to Comrade Le Huy Toan, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio, and Television, in order to effectively carry out tasks in the new phase, the most important thing is to first build a united leadership team, unified in thought and action; and at the same time, form a tight, scientific internal management system to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

Comrade Le Huy Toan also emphasized the importance of building a democratic, professional, humane, and responsible working environment; and streamlining the organizational structure to reduce intermediate layers while still ensuring the full implementation of all forms of journalism, including print, online, radio, television, and digital platforms.
This is considered a crucial solution for improving operational efficiency, optimizing resources, and adapting flexibly to the development trends of modern journalism.

Strengthening decentralization and delegation of authority, coupled with clear assignment of responsibilities; building a specific and transparent evaluation system to improve management efficiency, administration, and work quality. Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio & Television Station have identified the spirit of "Unity - Discipline - Compassion - Responsibility" as core values, creating a foundation for the collective to overcome difficulties, innovate, and successfully fulfill assigned political tasks in the new period.

In the rapidly changing landscape of modern journalism, the policy of mergers presents both challenges and opportunities for local media outlets to comprehensively restructure, innovate management thinking, and improve content quality. The seminar shared practical experiences, successful models, and effective approaches; and proposed solutions to enhance the operational quality of local media outlets in the new era.

The merger of local media outlets is a necessary step. This is seen as an important transformation aimed at improving management capacity, optimizing resources, and creating momentum for innovation in the operations of these agencies and units.

With proactive adaptation, focused investment, and the promotion of the role, courage, and responsibility of the journalistic team, local press is expected to continue to affirm its position as a reliable information bridge between the Party, the government, and the people in the new development phase.
