Kiev is trying to attack on many fronts, will the results be as expected?

According to the Russian Defense Ministry , the Russian military has prevented four drone attacks by Kiev forces in the past 24 hours.

The first attack attempt took place on the afternoon of August 12. Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian suicide drone that was on its way to target a facility in the Belograd region.

On the morning of August 13, the Russian Defense Ministry said that a second suicide drone was shot down by Russian air defense forces in Belgord. The attack did not result in any losses.

“At about 4 a.m., Kiev’s attempt to carry out a drone attack on facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled. Russian air defense means detected and destroyed the drone over the territory of the Belgorod region,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

A third Ukrainian drone was shot down by Russian air defenses just hours later, the ministry said.

“At 11:00 Moscow time, Kiev’s attempt to carry out a drone attack on facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Following the above statement, the Ministry also issued another statement about the shooting down of a Kiev drone in the Kursk region at the same time.

“At 11:30 Moscow time, an attempt by Kiev to carry out a drone attack on facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled. A Ukrainian drone was detected and destroyed by Russian air defense means over the territory of the Kursk region. There were no casualties or damage,” the statement read.

Kiev has stepped up attacks on Russian territory in recent days as its forces continue to push forward to make new gains on the front. However, the frontline efforts of Ukrainian forces have not met expectations.

Russia's heavy firepower has repelled several Ukrainian counterattacks.

A spokesman for the Zapad Group of Forces (Russia) told TASS that the Group had seized two positions of Kiev forces in the Kupyansk direction on August 13.

“In the battles in the Kupyansk direction, the assault groups of the 6th Combined Arms Corps captured two strong points, three observation posts and defeated an infantry platoon near the Olshana settlement,” the spokesman said.

The group also repelled two attacks by the 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of Ukraine near Sinkovka and in the Mankovka area.

“All counterattacks were successfully repelled. Enemy losses amounted to one platoon,” the Russian news agency quoted the Group’s spokesman as saying.

Fighting on the fronts is still very fierce.

In addition, TOS-1A heavy rocket launchers of the group attacked the stronghold of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade near Sinkovka. A reconnaissance and strike team of the Group also destroyed a Polish-made Krab self-propelled gun with a Lancet drone near Shevstov Yar.

Two separate attacks by the 32nd and 44th Mechanized Brigades of Kiev forces were also repulsed by this group near Novosyolovskoye.
