The 12 pumping stations in Kinh Mon have 70 pumps, with a total drainage capacity of 215.6 m³/hour. Of these, 9 stations drain directly into the river (total capacity 199.2 m³/hour); 3 stations drain locally (total capacity 16.4 m³/hour).
Following Typhoon No. 3, from September 9-14, many areas of Kinh Mon town experienced power outages, affecting the operation of the pumping system. Meanwhile, upstream flooding combined with high tides caused the water level of the river to rise, at times exceeding alarm level III. Some inland areas were locally flooded, making drainage difficult.
Currently, floodwaters on the rivers continue to recede. At the An Phu hydrological station at 7:00 AM on September 15th, the water level was 2.48m, 0.42m below alarm level III. The town's Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise will continue to monitor the water levels of the rivers in the area, proactively zone drainage areas, and propose appropriate pumping measures to urgently combat inland flooding.
On September 16th, if there is no rain and the water level in the outer river continues to drop, the Kinh Mon Town Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise will organize pumping combined with gravity drainage.
