Increase service links
Compared to the provinces in the Central Highlands, the province's cooperatives have a large number of members. This is an advantage for cooperatives to mobilize capital contributions and deploy joint services. According to the Provincial Cooperative Union, the province has 2 cooperative unions, 183 cooperatives operating with a total of 112,220 members. These members have contributed capital to increase the current charter capital to 295.7 billion VND. The services implemented at cooperatives are mainly services for members. Members are customers, so with a large number, the ability to self-consumption in cooperatives also increases.
Hoa Quang Nam Agricultural Service Cooperative (Phu Hoa district) is one of the cooperatives with the largest number of members at present, with more than 6,000 members. The cooperative provides many services, including agricultural production services; member loans; production and consumption of rice seeds, high-quality rice, etc. Over 90% of the cooperative's customers are members. According to Mr. Phan Van Thuan, Director of this cooperative, members are attached to the cooperative not only because of the terrain but also because of the benefits they enjoy. Typically, they are entitled to share capital interest and profits when using the cooperative's services. This attachment has created the ability to consume internally and the connection between supply and demand in the cooperative.
The large number of members and wide scope of production management are advantages that attract units and enterprises that want to join together to build a stable raw material area for processing. From there, the connection between cooperatives and cooperatives is tightened and the ability of cooperatives to link with other enterprises and production units is expanded.
The collective economy always aims to develop prosperously with the community. This is demonstrated through the companionship of cooperatives in developing household production and maintaining and developing craft villages and production areas. From here, cooperatives contribute to the government in changing the face of rural areas, towards advanced new rural areas. The provincial Cooperative Union always encourages cooperatives to continue to build brands on local agricultural products through the OCOP Program and upgrade the star rating of certified products, especially encouraging traditional products that are typical of the locality such as rice, lotus, salt, anchovies, rice paper, etc.
Mr. Dang Kim Ba, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union
Mr. Nguyen Du, Director of Xuan Phuoc Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative (Dong Xuan District) said: To have enough raw materials for peanut oil production, the Cooperative has linked up with other local cooperatives to sell peanuts to the people. The reason the Cooperative sought out cooperatives instead of other suppliers is because the Cooperative understands that the Cooperative's operating model is the ability to gather people to produce together. At that time, the Cooperative will be the production hub to supply the required output.
According to Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Anh, Director of Hong Dai Viet Production and Trading Company Limited, after surveying to implement the model of growing medicinal plants for export in Tuy Hoa City and Dong Hoa Town, we hope that the locality will create conditions for cooperation with any unit that can gather and maintain long-term production with the people instead of having to contact each household and then gather them into production areas. We were introduced to the cooperatives by the locality and currently the sesame growing model in Dong Hoa Town is being implemented well by the cooperative.

Growing with the community
The traditional connection of cooperatives with craft villages and production areas associated with the process from production management to building and managing local agricultural product brands helps individuals and households have more opportunities to improve production and increase consumption capacity.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chung, a salt producer in Tuyet Diem salt village, Xuan Binh commune (Song Cau town) said: Through the cooperative, members are able to improve their salt field renovation techniques, salt making methods using tarpaulins according to the correct process, preservation methods, etc.; along with that, they are supported with plastic tarpaulins for spreading the fields, pumps, water pipes, etc. In particular, Tuyet Diem salt grains are interested in building a brand and managing products in the market by the cooperative, local authorities and other units, so people's consumption has been more favorable over the past time.
Effectively operating cooperatives have been helping to create jobs and stabilize the economic lives of members. According to the Provincial Cooperative Union, cooperatives have supported more than 115,000 members and workers to have jobs with stable incomes. Of which, 3,000 members and workers have been supported to have regular jobs in collective economic organizations, 370 cadres and workers have paid social insurance and health insurance according to regulations.
