Accordingly, at 6:30 p.m. on August 30, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 6, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Provincial Police received a report from the Hieu Giang Commune Police that 6 people were exploiting cajuput forest in Hieu Giang Commune and were isolated for nearly 2 days due to rising flood waters, lacking food and drinking water. The Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 6 immediately arrived at the scene; at the same time, it proposed to send 1 more canoe and 14 officers and soldiers from the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area No. 1 to coordinate the handling.

The rescue team reassured the isolated people and deployed a canoe to approach and bring 6 people to safety at 9:20 p.m. the same day.
