Since the beginning of this term, Quynh Phu's economy has experienced remarkable growth, with many indicators exceeding targets. Continuing this growth momentum, the district strives to basically complete the district road infrastructure to the standard of a level IV road in the plains by 2025, moving towards the synchronization of commune and village roads, determined to further develop the economy rapidly and sustainably.
Many transportation routes under the investment of Quynh Phu district are being urgently constructed to ensure progress according to plan.
From synchronizing district roads to commune and village roads.
Since the beginning of the term, Quynh Phu district has completed 10 roads: Highway 72 (An My to An Khe); Highway 72A and Highway 72C from An Bai town through An Thanh commune; Highway 73 (Lap bridge to Dong Bang temple); Highway 77 (Dau bridge to Hiep wharf); Highway 78 (Huu Luoc dike to Quynh Ngoc), An Ap commune road through O bridge in An Vinh commune; Provincial Road DT.455 from An Vu commune to An Duc commune... All completed roads meet the standards of a Class IV road in the plains with an 8m wide asphalt surface, sidewalks over 3m wide, reinforced drainage ditches, and a lighting system. The district is also currently constructing the An Duc to Dong Tien provincial road, the DT.455 to Quynh My road, the Quynh Hoi to An Vinh district road, the Chau Son to Quynh Ngoc district road..., striving to complete them by 2024. Currently, the percentage of district roads meeting the standards of level IV in the plains of Quynh Phu district reaches 78.5%, making it the locality with the highest percentage of district roads meeting the standard in the province. This is one of the most important criteria for businesses when seeking investment opportunities in the district.
Along with striving to synchronize transportation infrastructure, Quynh Phu is determined to complete the general urban planning in the town and some localities; continue planning new residential areas, and organize land use right auctions to generate revenue for investment in socio-economic infrastructure development.
Comrade Nguyen Van Nhiem, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council, affirmed: After completing the district road infrastructure, with the current movement of people voluntarily donating land and assets, Quynh Phu will continue to build roads for communes and villages. We believe that the district and localities will be able to do this because in Quynh Phu, the movement of people voluntarily donating land has become a widespread emulation movement; whenever road construction is mentioned, people donate land and assets. If localities are determined, in the 2025-2030 term, the district will focus on building roads in advanced new rural communes, model new rural communes, and main internal field roads in localities that promote mechanization in production and chain linkages, moving towards accelerating urbanization and expanding trade and services.
Leveraging local strengths
In 2022, Quynh Phu's economy experienced remarkable growth, with total budget revenue estimated at 2,435 billion VND, a 54.3% increase compared to 2021, marking the first time the district's revenue exceeded 2,400 billion VND. However, the growth rate of agricultural production, small-scale industries, and services and trade has not kept pace with the district's potential and strengths, especially its geographical location and transportation infrastructure. To successfully implement the political tasks for the 2020-2025 period, maximize the district's potential and advantages to create a breakthrough in socio-economic development and improve people's lives, particularly to strive for the completion of district road infrastructure to the standard of level IV in the plains by 2025, Quynh Phu has specific orientations and solutions.
Comrade Vu Xuan Hung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: The transportation infrastructure of Quynh Phu district is basically complete, but to achieve the goal of having all district roads meet the standards of a Class IV road in the plains by 2025, the first solution is to focus on mobilizing resources. Currently, in addition to completing the planning and auctioning of land use rights in some urban residential areas such as Sinh Phan and Dong Kenh residential areas (Quynh Coi town), Quynh Hung residential area (Quynh Hung commune)... to create capital for basic construction, the district continues to plan several urban and residential areas: An Bai town, Quynh Coi town and An Dong and Quynh Ngoc communes; orienting the development of Quynh Coi and An Bai towns into Class IV urban areas; at the same time, proposing the planning of several urban areas along the Hoa River - An Bai town, urban areas along the Luoc River in Quynh Lam, Quynh Ngoc, Quynh Hoang communes and some other localities...
However, with the real estate market currently sluggish, the district is directing agencies and units to coordinate with provincial departments and sectors to continue advising on solutions to increase budget revenue, effectively disburse public investment capital, and meet the requirements for project implementation in the district. In addition to projects already underway, the district will continue to research and implement projects to connect with other districts and key economic zones in the province, such as the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park and the economic zones connecting Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Quynh Phu. Along with creating resources, Quynh Phu continues to mobilize public support in land clearance, coordinating with provincial functional agencies to direct investors to accelerate the progress of projects in the Thaco Thai Binh Industrial Park and the Cau Nghin Industrial Park, striving to bring these two industrial parks into operation soon, thereby attracting large enterprises to invest in the district.
