Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Minister Nomin Chinbat signed a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Minister Nomin Chinbat aims to contribute to the implementation of the comprehensive partnership to guide the deep trust cooperation between the two countries in all fields to become increasingly in-depth, substantive, effective and comprehensive, creating a breakthrough development in the coming period, including the fields of culture and tourism.

The main contents of the Memorandum of Understanding include information exchange, research, training, human resource development, cooperation between tourism organizations as well as tourism-related businesses of the two countries, organization of tourism seminars, support for participation in tourism events, tourism fairs... held in each country.

The Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation between the two Ministries was signed in the presence of General Secretary andPresident To Lam and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

Encourage cooperation and investment between government tourism organizations as well as tourism-related enterprises of the two countries; facilitate tourism cooperation as well as agents, travel businesses, hotels, tourist transport companies; encourage information exchange in the tourism sector; cooperate in research, training and human resource development in the tourism sector, exchange lecturers, students, researchers, tourism experts, organize tourism seminars... and general regulations on principles of a number of related issues when implementing the Memorandum of Understanding. This Memorandum of Understanding is a necessary basis for framework cooperation between the two Parties in the fields of research, development, introduction and promotion of tourism in each country.

Following the “Go Monglia” event organized by Mongolia in April 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and the possibility of opening a direct flight route from Ho Chi Minh City to Ulan Bator in November 2024 will attract tourists from both countries to travel to each other and continue to demonstrate the growing tourism cooperation between the two countries.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mongolia, opening up greater potential for cooperation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. It affirms that the traditional friendship is increasingly focused on expanding, increasingly being strengthened and consolidated. In addition, tourism cooperation contributes to increasing the number of visitors exchanged between the two countries, creating positive impacts on the cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia in other fields such as economy, investment, people-to-people exchange and friendship.
